Ken Seeley of A and E Intervention is In The Rooms

For those who are unaware, interventionist Ken Seeley of A & E’s hit show “Intervention” is In The Rooms and has a profile where any member can contact him. Some may think of Ken Seeley merely as the interventionist persona from the TV show, but in fact, Ken is a dedicated member of the recovery community who has spent more than two decades of his time and efforts aiding those suffering from the disease of addiction.

Perhaps what makes Ken such a brilliant interventionist is that he knows first hand the struggles of addiction. Ken himself has20 years experience of being clean and sober from his addiction now. He continues to be a beacon for the recovery community, not only as an example that successful recovery is possible, but also as a continuous voice and presence for addiction recovery.

Aside from this, Ken is also the founder and executive director of Intervention911, one of the most prominent intervention services in the nation. His membership to InTheRooms.com is another way we are trying to bring the best from the world of recovery to you online.

Hi I am interested in finding someone who can do an interevention. My son is addicted to presciption pain pills and is stealing to support his habit. He has talked about suicide. He is in denial of this . His girlfried said he has been arrested twice for stealing and she has called the police when he held a knife to his neck threatening suicide. We are in Portland Oregon Thanks.

Hi Pam: call intervention911, on the internet with a toll free number. They helped us get our son into treatment and are very professional

Pam, you can go to the network A & E’s website and go to Intervention’s website there is a place somewhere on there to request an intervention. However, you should research local rehabilitation centers in your area that would be willing to do an intervention. Just remember that he is suffering just as much as you are, and it’s important to let him know you love him unconditionally.

Hi! Im trying to help my 30 year old son who is shooting up coocaine and using opiets. He wants help but wont do anything, was on rehab twice and he is getting worse. Threatening suecide. His body is full of needle marks, he said he cant deal with his demons, have to kill-it, I don’t know what to do. Please help me save his life. He has a 4 year old little boy who has not been with his Daddy 30 days out of his 4 years of short life.

Alot of addicts I know are addicted to that show (no pun intended). personaly I cant see the attraction. I dont want to be the guy that rains on the parade here, but I do feel that an intervention is the most personal moment in a persons life. and posting that on tv would be the most horrible experience I can think of, short of reading my 4′th step in front of my grandmother. I just felt the need to speak my opinion on this subject here.

    Best Wishes
    Scott K
